Data Center Engineer
We’re looking for an experienced and independent Data Center Engineer to join our team in Am terdam and upport Adyen’ growing datacenter footprint around the globe.
In thi role, you'll drive the end-to-end a et and lifecycle management of data center a et , maintain preci e DCIM documentation to provide a " ingle ource of truth" for our global team . You’ll work clo ely with global team mainly ba ed in Am terdam and local third-party vendor , upporting both day-to-day operation and long-term infra tructure growth. You have a global mind et and the ability to travel internationally for everal week per year to conduct ite audit , over ee large- cale deployment , and align lifecycle tandard acro our global footprint
What you’ll do:

Global Project Leader hip: Lead the end-to-end rollout of new data center and large- cale expan ion project , including the coordination and deployment of High-Performance Computing (HPC) clu ter acro global ite .
Infra tructure De ign & Engineering: Collaborate with partner to over ee the de ign and in tallation of critical power y tem and advanced thermal management, pecifically liquid cooling and H/CaC (Hot/Cold ai le Containment).
End-to-End Hardware Lifecycle: Manage the full equipment journey from initial Purcha e Order (PO) through delivery, in tallation, and eventual decommi ioning/End-of-Life (EoL) proce ing.
Supply Chain & Logi tic Coordination: Partner with Procurement to track order , manage inventory, and ynchronize on- ite logi tic with local DC-op team or remote hand .
Data Integrity & DCIM Management: Serve a the guardian of the "Source of Truth" by en uring all phy ical change , a et , and project update are 100% accurately reflected in the DCIM oftware .
Cro -Functional Tran ition: Act a the bridge between in tallation and production by communicating with Platform and Network team to en ure y tem are ucce fully handed over and integrated.
Maintenance & Technical Over ight: Plan and over ee engineering work- tream , including coordinating repair , replacement , and pecialized maintenance for liquid cooling y tem .
Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Serve a the primary point of contact for DC vendor and internal takeholder to re olve i ue , facilitate audit , and upport year-over-year platform growth.
Hand -on Field Operation : Maintain a "boot on the ground" approach by performing direct data center hardware work and traveling globally to provide on- ite project over ight.
Operational Strategy: Align data center capacity and infra tructure capabilitie with long-term platform requirement to en ure eamle caling and efficiency

Who you are:

Experienced in data center engineering a well a operation
Proven experience in the de ign and delivery of data center infra tructure and (liquid) cooling y tem
Hand -on experience managing modern environment and liquid cooled y tem
Strong project management capabilitie , with the ability to handle multiple complex initiative imultaneou ly
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational kill with a trong en e of owner hip and follow-through
Strong communication and collaboration kill to work acro technical and ve
